Anyone know of any reasonable and quality shops around Lynchburg (will travel tho towards roanoke way) for a paint job and minor body work. I will buy the supplies, etc just need to pay for labor

I've got a friend in bedford who will probably do it for a reasonable price. However you willa los have to rent out a paint booth for him to use. He just recently finished his 99 civic, it turned out very well.

I have a friend at Woodings. They are the best there is, but also among the most expensive. But, when it comes to paint and body work, a lot of times you get what you pay for. I can probably get you a little bit of a deal though...

How much were you looking to pay? I am also good friends with the guys at Quality Paint and Body on 460 in Roanoke. They are also one of the more exspensive shops around but you do get what you paid for. The owner does all of the painting there so he won't let the car leave the shop until he satisfied with it.

Well I am not really sure how much a paint job is going to run. The car is white now, I want to repaint it white maybe adding some flake (go ahead and flame lol) as well as get a few dents taken out that arent big. the engine bay, etc doesnt need to be painted but the trunk jam does (black moldy shit ekk)

Cootees - as far as renting a booth, i would have no idea where to get one to rent or the cost..

Check out Sandroff Auto Body, if they are still around. My old friend's dad owns it. I have not lived in Lynchburg for almost 5 years so im not sure if they are still there. I remember they do really good work, but usually more expensive than the rest.

What are you looking to drop in labor costs? And on the same note, ifyou're buying materials, just what kind of paint are you planning on purchasing?

I've painted a lot of stuff. Used to work in a body shop in h/s. And when people say you get what you pay for, it's true.

I could see this getting real expensive fast.

unless you opt for the Maico 199.95 job.( *stress sarcasm*)

Yes, I was talking about Chris Saunders. I wish I had before and after pictures of his car to show you. Basically he smashed hs drives side in a bit going through an underpass in montvale. He painted it back to black only added some blue flakes in it, Not a lot but just enough to where you can see it if the sun is right or you are looking real closely. I did ask him about it, if he would be up for painting another one, he said sure and he does know of a booth he can rent out in bedford for like $50-$75 Somewhere around there. Just PM me and let me know if you want to meet him and take a look at the job he did on his car and talk to him about pricing or what-not.
