V2 just came out...looks pretty tempting
i figured DSMlink since he was running 850s.. DSMlink is VERY nice and has so many abilities it's a no brainer if you have a EPROM ECU and a laptop... a friend of mine has gone a 10.6 on V1 of it... stutterbox is nice indeed.. how many miles are on andrew's car? i killed the stocker on my old talon in like 3 launches... nice times though, that car is definitely running very well.

My car has 83500 miles and I have a ACT 2600lb clutch sitting in my closet heh heh, I'm just waiting for it to blow out. Honestly though, I have been the track about 5 times, and have launched the car more than 20times. It holds great but I can feel it give through first gear alot. Dsmlink shows my rpms flicker up and down during first gear so I think its slipping some, and also in 2nd some too.

My mod list is:

Ported 14b(34mm wastegate flapper)
Ported manifold and 02 housing to 7cm
Supra SMIC w/ custom 2.5 inch piping (upper and lower)
1gen BOV(not type S heh)
Apexi 3" turbo back no cats(except for that night I unbolted the cat-back to see if it made a diff.)
Profec -B set at 20(falls to 17psi by 6500)
255lph HP pump(re-wired)
Aeromotive regulator w -6AN fuel lines to compensate for the high fuel pressure caused from the bigger fuel pump.
850cc Ball disc injectors (overkill but I plan to upgrade turbo)
2.5" custom intake w/ ractive filter
Dsmlink V1chip w/ V2 software Beta version
B&M Shortshifter
KYB AGX all around with shitty ass nopi coil-overs
Rota Subzero's 17.7.5 weighing 16 lbs a piece
Toyo proxie T1-S 225/45/17
Stock clutch and engine

I actually had to end up turning the studder launch down to 5250 because the clutch couldn't take it at 5500. I love Dsmlink and for the money compared to other standalones, you can't beat it. It also has all the safety features that your stock ecu has like a knock limit retard and it will display your check engine light if you knock over a certain count. This software is really easy to tune, no lie. Instead of staring at the SAFC and reading timing graphs, it will show you exactly how much your knocking and where. I think the new V2 chip actually displays which cylinders are causing the most knock, I'm still unsure of that though.

At any rate, yeah I try to beat my old times, not really there to prove a point to anyone so if I come off cocky, I'm really not trying to be. I just love racing and I thought I would share my accomplishments with this car because I am stoked to be so close to 7's and still on this 14b heh...

I hear ya man, in this area there are so few DSM's that it seems we get little to no respect, theres nothing like DSM's pulling kick ass times to finally make jaws drop.

By the way dave hit the damn track sometime soon, I wanna see what kinda times she's got in her.

V2 of the DSMlink has so many features its rediculous. The thing costs 700 bucks, and yet has just about every feature of a full standalone such as fuel control, knock counts, stutterbox, no fuel cut, compensation for large injectors, and the list goes on. With V2 of DSMlink they now have the no lift to shift feature, timing retard for anti-lag, speed density setup compatibility, and a shitload more. You have to have a 2g Eprom ECU which came only on early 1995 turbo DSM's, eg: mine , and for the price it absolutely blows just about everything else available for cars out of the water. I guess its comparible to hondata for hondas, although I'm not totally sure of their pricing and abilities.

Hey drew I have a question, and I want you to seriously think about it and answer it truthfully. Did you notice any difference by changing out the fuel lines? I hear of people changing them, some saying itll help but not knowing how much, and others saying its a waste. You have done it and therefore I'm curious what you feel. How much did it cost you total?

I'll answer your question even though you are directing it at him
I noticed a nice difference only because I was way too rich without an afpr. Only -28% correction before it and even now with it on I'm running 41 base pressure and -38% correction and still running 750 egts and 1.0v o2s on 110/93 mix. Still have a ways to go tuning it but I'm going to leave the rest up to altered

I still have not put on all the goodies for the feed side of the fuel because getting the stock fuel filter out is a huge PITA.

Honestly I went from, 98% inj duty cycle at 18psi, stock pump, stock lines, stock AFPR, to 255lph pump, new fuel lines, 850cc injectors and 48 % inj duty cycle at 20psi, lol. I have no way of telling how the fuel lines made a difference by themselves because I added everything at once. I pretty much figured that if I am going to do it, I might as well do it once and the right way. Check out http://www.autoalchemy.com/ and contact Shawn Moss he is the one who put together my system. I paid 315 for new fuel filter, lines and adapters to fuel rail, and a aeromotive regulator all included and assembled. He even pressure tested it for me. By the way its all done in anodized black, including the SS braided line, so its hardly even noticable unless you have your face real close to the engine bay. I love it and I feel like I don't have to worry about the restriction in the stock fuel lines. The hole difference is incredible,

Try and piece together a line kit including all low-profile black swivel fittings, black lines, fuel filter, 2 adapters, misc fittings, Aeromotive regulator, and you will realize that its more worth it to just have it made for you. I actually saved money doing it this way versus trying to be the do-it-yourselfer that I usually am.

O I hear ya, I've seen their kit and have always agreed that it was extremely reasonably priced, and therefore if I were to replace them that'd be the way I'd go, however I was just curious of what your input was on if it was really even worth it. The FPR I'd like to do sometime shortly, however the entire line upgrade was alot, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to do all that if it wasnt necessary especially since I just changed the filter in Dec. I like how they have the bolt on adaptors, I remember you showing this to me back a while ago.

fawk that man.. the money you'll spend on all that crap is half a turbo upgrade! (which your car is BEGGING for!)

i am going home to swap cars this weekend and will get to the track soon.. first trip i will run pump gas then after that i'll try to get my hands on some 110 and raise the boost...

your FMIC on yet?
