Unless you've got something to prove to someone (i.e. grudge match or something), I wouldn't bother dumping it at 6k rpms, under any leisure circumstances. God DAMN that would be a hard launch and not worth it for 2 tenths of a second IMHO.
yea, exactly. of course my car revs to 8700 rpm so 6k is'nt really that high for me but on a launch it's pretty rough. I don't think my clutch can take it either.

I don't care if you rev to 10,000 rpms..
To me, launching at 6,000 rpms is high. If may be the average rpm to launch at in an ITR, but it's an awful beating on the drivetrain IMO.
