Default *HELP* where to get tires mounted

Blacksburg/Christiansburg DragVA memebers;

hey guys,

I'm gettin new tires on Fri, and I called around to see how much tire shops charges to get the tires mounted and balanced. most of the places charges about 15 bucks per wheel. I was wondering if you know any place in Blacksburg/christiansburg who charges less for tire mounting and balancing?

I appreciate your help in advance.

Anyone on here know of a good place to get it done period, aka that you know won't fuck up my wheels... I am getting tires soon, and the last place that did it(some place in Salem) scratched one of my wheels a bit, AND treated me like shit on top of that(guy was helping me and big bad boss comes out and makes him quit working on me and start on some other car, making me wait for like 45 minutes when he was already done with 2 of my wheels..)

welcome to the world of volume tire shops.

there arent many shops that do put alot of care and effort into mounting, but i do know that SMAS in blacksburg has touchless mounting (25/tire if you have a low pro tire, glad i dont associate with them or their prices anymore) that is guranteed damage free. however....they have had to buy a rim or two when they first got it.....

thanks for your inputs.

as for the wheel damage issue, i don't care how careful they're. as long as
they have experience with mounting and balancing wheels, it's ok
(actually, it's for my gf's eclipse, she washes her car twice a year unless
I get it washed.)

i think i'll take it to walmart in cburg, they charge $11/wheel and $0.70 for
old tires. they should know how to mount tires, lol....shouldn't they?

Know of any place in Roanoke that does touchless tire mounting? Cost isnt a huge issue unless its gonna be $50+ a tire.

Know of any place that does lug centric rather than hub centric spin balancing? The wheels I have cant be hub centric balanced due to their design and I have yet to find a shop that even knows what lug centric/hub centric is around here .

TIA

only place i know of that has both the lug centric adaptor and touchless was south main in blacksburg, and thats cause i worked there.

i am sure there is somewhere in roanoke though.

i have never met a wheel i cant hub balance though. even wide 5's can be done with the right adaptor...

Wanna try your hand at mine? The stock syclone/typhoon wheels are made in such a way that where the adaptor contacts the hub on the outside isnt centered. The inside is where the hub meets the flange on the axle is centered but the outside where the outter adaptor contacts is a diff story. Hard as hell to explain but if you see it you'll know what Im talking about.

POS GM stuff .
