SS Automotive is now buying recyclables! Chances are most everyone on this site has some of this stuff sitting around, likely enough of it to finance their next mod! So stop letting it take up space or worse throw it away!

We trying to break into the recycling side of the automotive junking business and are now purchasing a few key items such as catalytic converters, aluminum wheels, and some misc aluminum auto parts. We will also soon start purchasing radiators and "core items" such as starters, alts, or most any part that has a core charge associated with it.

Exactly how much do we pay? Most catalytic converters will bring $50 - $75, Some will bring well over $100, other such as low grade and after market replacement cats may only bring $10 - $15. ALL cats must still have the guts! We will pay $10 for any bare (no tire) aluminum wheel, $8 for any aluminum wheel with a tire on it (good or bad) As for misc aluminum copper or brass parts, it just depends on how much you have of it and how clean of other metals it is.

NOTE: DONT GET RIPPED OFF SELLING YOUR CATS!

The shop is located in south richmond and for the most part the shop is not open to the public so if you have items to sell you will need to make an appointment by calling 804 986 3152, If you have a substantial amount of stuff we will happily come to you if you are local. All transactions are of course made in cash and appointment times are extremely flexible.

NOTE: If you have catalytic converters, due to a rise in thefts we require a picture id to purchase them so don't forget yours!

On the cats, i will buy just about ANY cat, many of you import guys have cats worth over $100 to me, got one from a bmw or some volvos? could be a $200 cat. alotta domestic ones from smaller cars will only bring $50 - $75 but the ones from alotta gm's say a cavalier or sunfire will get you $100. same thing with the cat on most mid sized gm's such as luminas, cutlasses, ect. if your not sure take a pic of it and shoot me a pm and ill let ya know.

 

Do you take the smaller batteries like out of a ATV or lawnmower?
