Why would you want a RX-7? I've messed with a lot of them... they're nothing but trouble. I love them, but they'll burn a hole right in your wallet when it comes to maintenance and repairs.
What kind do you want by the way? If you know a lot about RX-7s you should make a choice in my opinion on whether you want a Series 4 (86-88) or Series 5 (89-91). Do you want a Turbo II? I need details here. Don't get yourself into the rotary world unless you know what you're getting into (not saying you don't, I just hate it when people buy RX-7s and they end up in the junkyard because they didn't know what they were getting into).

And were you exactly an expert when you bought and never finished yours
dont listen to a word he says, i have an 87 sport and when i got it it ran poorly. a little tlc and it has been a reliable daily driver for almost a year. i do agree about the reasearch tho, check out the packages and which series you would want. there are some differences between them but rx-7s are no doubt worth the trouble it takes to find one. p.s. you might be better finding one on rx7club.com
Do as you wish. When I bought the RX-7(s), I regretted not knowing enough about them before stepping into the world of rotaries. Very painful experience with the money invested in them. If you ae going to play with one, it'd be nice to have someone local who's knowledgable enough about them to walk you through it.
Most RX-7 owners get really touchy about the reliability subject on their cars, but I had them and they are not a reliable car. I dont care what ANYONE says. They are NOT reliable. I swear that I see one broken down on the side of a road every week and ironically enough I see just as many broken down as I see moving.
Fun car nonetheless. Nothing like it. It's uniqueness gives the owner a very different pride like I've ever had in owning a car. I'm not saying to not buy one. I'm just saying you should know what you're getting into and it would be best to be prepared.
