Default HANGAR 09

Well after not answering the phones each time I called to find out when they actually opened, a few of us got together and went and took a tour of the place after the Auto Show last week.

Met the owner, his wife, and a few of the workers .... took a tour of the place and the handful of us were invited back for their "Soft Opening" on Friday night to prepare for their GRAND OPENING this past Saturday.

We got there, and there was one other group of like 5 older guys, seem to be ex pilots and friends with the owner, who not only OWNS the place but designs the simulators in house. Hes currently building 4 race simulators right now.

We got to hit up their bar (which could use more of a selection, but they had Winter Lager on tap) and gave their stone cooked pizza a try. Pizza was pretty good, little pricey (11 for a 10 inch).

We then went in for briefing - if youve played ANY flight game before you have the basics of what they will tell you in this breifing down (other than button functions)

Finally we got to dogfight each other (didnt get to chose a mission, or attempt carrier landings or take offs on Friday) It will probally take a couple flights to really get the hang of it, and it would definatly be alot better if there were more than 4 simulators. (its in the works right now)

It was definatly a very very fast 15 mins (legitly 15 mins) just didnt notice time went that quickly.

I think the missions, and the carrier landing are definatly going to be the main things to do until they make more simulators. 4 people in the wide open from 0-12000 ft with a range of like 10 miles is a HUGE space to hunt for 3 other planes.

ALL IN ALL I definatly say give it a little bit more time before you go check it out, just because they have just a few more bugs to work out .... but definatly worth it. We are going to be going back in a week or two to try the other flight options. Was defiantly fun, and nice to sit there and have a beer and some pizza with a few friends and go shoot each other out of the sky.

They will also be showing all the UFC events on a few projectors so thats definatly a plus do to the fact they have food and alcohol.

Everyone there were helpful as can be .... owner was a pretty nice dood. Im sure they will actually sign up on Driven as soon as they are up and fucntional where they want to be and not so much stress of opening.

Grab a few friends and go check it out.

Sounds pretty cool, how much did it cost for each 15 minute flying session?

For a member to buy a flight you get 40% off the non member price. Comes out to like $16 or so. Membership was $20 ($40 now I think) gives you a free flight, and one in the month of your birthday.
