Thumbs down [web]OptionImports.com

i was just wondering if anyone else has had good luck with this company. i have not had quite the pleasant experience from them.

i ordered some parts back on July 27. their website states that the items would be delivered in 5-7 business days. they sent an email with a link that will show the order status and everytime i clicked it the status would be blank. so, on Aug 1 i emailed the company back and asked if something was wrong with the order and they told me a couple of the parts were backordered. i told them to take the backordered items off and just send what was in stock on Aug 2.

this past week i've been trying to call and find out if there are more problems with my order and got no answer several times. i finally talked to someone today and aparently they still had the backprdered stuff on my order and was causing the delay. i thought that was taken care of back on the 2nd but i guess not.

well now it is fixed and supposedly it will ship out today or tomorrow and will get here in 4-5 days they said.

has anyone else ever ordered from them? and what was your experience like with them?

I have ordered from them twice. I ordered some H&R wheel spacers from them that ended up being out of stock - but it did not say that on the website. With in 15 mins of submitting the order and paying for it I get a phone call telling me that they are out of stock, but that they will ship me some Kicks spacers w/ the hubcentric ring and give me free overnight shipping. That was my one really good experience with them, since the Kicks spacers cost more and I got free overnight shipping. My second experience with them I ordered my LSD. It was supposed to take 5-7 days to get to me, but they failed to tell me they had to get it from Japan first, so it ended up taking 2 weeks. The product was awesome, and the service from the first expirence would have me order from them again - but if that good experience was rare then maybe they are not as good as I thought.

bought some megan racing rear braces from them almost a year ago. they got half the order right, the lower brace was a P.O.S. I reordered a DC Sport lower brace and paid the difference but they said just to keep the old megan racing one. So i guess i made out okay. Would never buy from them again however. Have had much better experience with Performancecenter.com and summitracing.com. Going to try out Optionsauto.com i hear they're pricey but they carry random tech, direct fit cats and i can't find them anywhere else so...

What kinda car are you looking for a Random Tech for? If it's a Honda, check out Dezod.com. I've bought many parts from him and never had a problem.

i guess i should have asked them for overnight shipping too. i think i'm going to be underway when they try to deliver. i haven't had a good experience with UPS either. they tried to send some of my stuff back because i couldn't get off work to pick it up or be there for delivery.

I've ordered my tanabe exhaust, 2 sets of wheel locks, and my TEIN SS-P coil-overs from them and never had a problem. (2004-2005)

they finally charged me for my order and still no parts.

too bad i can't just go somewhere like SuperAutobacs and just buy my parts from right off the shelf like i did my exhaust. that place is the shit.

i just got back from my underway today, and was hoping to have my parts when i got back. i was sadly mistaken when i got home so i gave them a call. now there are more parts they didn't have in stock. they are hopefully going to send the in stock parts now and the other ones later.

it sure would of been nice for them to call me when they found out they didn't have the stuff, then i could at least had my RUCA's so i can finally fix my camber. i will definitely not order from them again. they just really piss me off to no end.

i placed this order on July 27 and they claimed it would be 5-7 business days to get an order. now i realize its not possible if they don't have the parts in stock, but they damn sure could have emailed or called me to let me know that type of thing.
