What kind of tires should I get?
Ok well I know you're better at this then I am so I am asking for your help.
I have a 2001 Trans Am. I think I might've finally made a decision on what wheels I want. 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 Z06's. Now what tires should I get. I was checking out Kumho MX's which are priced nicely, but I'm looking for something that will be able to handle my car, but I'm also looking for something that will last me longer than 10K miles. That may be a lot to ask, but I figured its worth a shot.
Are the MX's worth it? I don't run my car at any type of track events, just drive it everyday, do some sliding around here and there every once in a while, so there's not worries of me wearing them out at a track.
Thanks in advance.
Joe

I think the Kumho MXs are your best bet for what you want (excellent price, performance and durability). There is a reason many national level auto-x racers uses these tires in street tire classes.
I run them as my street/rain tires on my M3.

I'm sure you know what I'm going to recommend, but I highly recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Awesome, awesome tire. Not to terribly bad on price either....
