Jim and Rick, thank you such more for the videos. you have no idea how much I appreciate it. As well as just viewing pleasure, i kind of wanted to see how much the car swayed (haha) since i'm probably going to be putting some 9 inch wide wheels on that sucker.

The car has some interesting history. My mother was dating a guy who sold used cars at a local dealership. He sold me the Miata, and told me it had ONE owner. A year later I decided to do a CarFax report on the car, and realized that I'm the FOURTH owner. It was registered as a Colorado RENTAL for it's first 10,000 miles. Ouch! Still, I've never had a problem with the car that I couldn't diagnose with a Miata.net forum search.
What would you recommend for suspension mods?
Rick,
My R weighed in at about 2220 some years ago in racing trim. I probably can take some weight off with some trick wheels, but the stockers are pretty light @ 10# and I'm NOT gutting the A/C. Telehowski's CS National NB was something like high 2100's.
Go for the ADDCO front sway bar (7/8th I believe), and some off the shelf Koni's. Get it aligned somewhat more aggresively than Lanny's recommendations and you'll be ready to roll with a regionally competitive car.
If they move 'em to ES the NA will be Nationally competitive, but until then the '99 Sport NB or 10 AE is the only way to go if you want to "wear the jacket".
You are welcome to do a fun run at the next event that I run the car. Don't hesitate to come over and ask questions, I'm pleased to help.
