Rev matching...
I try to pratice rev matching at lower engine speeds around town but its just not working for me. the engine likes the surge alot. is it possible that my 130k engine and tranny mounts can be whats making it so diff.? the motor mounts are known to such and be replaced with solid ones..

Explain the steps you go through when you try to do it. Maybe you're doing something wrong?

it's a lot harder to get a smooth rev-match at low rpms. try doing it in the midrange and observe results. i've been heel-toeing for about 6 months now, and it's a valuable asset for spirited driving.

zoom zoom h is right. whats going on is the engine is moving at a low speed, a couple thousand revolutions a minute, then your bliping the gas to say three or even four thousand revolutions, the clutch and engine has to rematch up to that speed. if your going to practice this technique, i recommend taking your corners initially from a lower gear so your RPM's are higher to begin with. That will make the rev match closer...and ultimately smoother. i hope i helped and keep practicing. it definately takes practice. another tip to help aid in the process is to wear thin/soft soled shoes. the light/soft material makes pedal feel and touch that much easier. good luck
