Pre-registration is up for April 18th at ACU-4
52.3 on street tires. Im kinda dissapointed I didnt feel the rear swaybar make that big of a difference. I need some real tires, also get some negative camber. The guy behind me in the staging lanes made me feel temp in tires comparing from outside threads to middle to inside threads, and I could tell the difference in temp. Hot outside, cooler inside. (I have 0 camber). We'll see what I can do before the next event...
I found out why my tires got progressivly worse and worse on traction... i checked my tire pressure about 45 minutes after i was done to set them bnack to daily driving pressure... they were at 44 up front and 40 in the rear?! i started at 39 up front and 34 rear. durrr heat expands =]
best was a sliding 54.1 heh

I ran a 54.6 on my last run. Hanging my ass end out all over the course.
Leo and Crate I have your runs on tape, and I think I might have yours SilverNB. Silver: do you have the appearance package mudguard things on your car? If that's you, then I do think I have a few of your runs.
Rick
edit: Silver I just looked at your profile. I'm 95% sure I have you on tape. I'll check it out later tonight.

50.5 - I, like Crate, found out after my runs that my tires were over inflated (no consideration for outside temp) and I wasn't taking advantage of them. I think I could have taken off another sec. Oh well, I'll remember that for next time.
What a great course and great day. 50.8 was my best time for the day. I would have liked to crack into the 49's... the car had it, the driver didn't. BTW, registration is now open for May 2nd at Pungo with the SCCA.
50.4 on slick greasey Azenis. I to wasnt thinking about tire preasures mine raised from 42 up front to 46ish. I should have checked them. On my fastest run I locked up the brakes twice and on my last run with ballooned tire preasures I ran a 50.7 and pushed everywhere. I think the car had a 49 in it easy. I just suck!!!!!!
I am thinking about getting a set of MX's now.
Leo.... I think that a 52 is a killer time on hard ass tires. In any kind of raceing you are on the edge on traction all the time. This being said you now need more traction
It also sounds like eventhough you cant feel a change with the bars your times show some nice improvement.

best i could do, i pulled a 49.109 w/ the new coilovers. once i get these suckers dialed in, it's gonna be nice. it's funny, everyone had these tire pressure ordeals, and i thought i was crazy b/c I was the only one that adjusted my pressures between runs. and of course, i forgot to check between the 2nd and 3rd runs. that's when i had the whole low on oil thing. i must be leaking somewhere, it was pretty low. proper oil level + enough pressure for vtec to kick in was pretty nice after i figured out why vtec wasn't coming on, heh.
hey, vbspec, what was your full time? 50.4XX?
leo, you did look pretty good out there. although the car seems to push, the 3rd and 4th runs you drove really smooth. maybe a little tire pressure adjustment could help out. I ran pretty high pressure in the rear when i had my old springs. that kind of makes the tires just bounce around. not the best idea for traction, but better than pushing everywhere.
