Ordered my ground controls.
Slim.. I would recomend just getting out and doing some events before you start event thinking about car set up. Civics are good handeling cars in general, its the diver thats makes them fast.

well, i got them in on Tuesday, and put them on yesterday (friday). all i can say is wow. i haven't been able to put them to any good tests yet, but out of the 2 corners i've taken quickly, i'm definitely getting the rotation. and holy shit is it stiff. i'm not gonna have any teeth in a year. can't wait to race tomorrow :-D

is there a big difference between 350/450 and 400/500...because i have 350/450 on my civic and the ride doesn't seem stiff at all...but i also have factory bushings.
Brent where were you today?????
You cant realy judge spring rates from one chassis to another. The role rates of the cars will be different. Plus Dave realized that he is close to if not riding on bumpstops.
Here is how to figure suspension travel:
1. Jack up the car and place it on a jackstand.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Place a floor jack under the lower suspension arm.
4. Jack up the car untill it raises up off the jackstand.
5. Look now at the gap between the shock body and bumpstop. This is close to your total suspension travel.
If there is no gap YOU ARE TO LOW.....
Also always remember if you raise or lower you car the alignment setting change.

I talked to quite a few guys today, including Ed, and I got an idea of how high i'm going to raise the car. going to have to take measurements and stuff at different hieghts and blah blah blah.
we'll see how the ride gets once it's a little higher as well.
