Any 05 dates you happen to see are only tentative. I know things are on the schedule board, but things are still being shuffled. Be patiend and make approximate plans with the possibility of them changing completely.

I was totally assuming that NASA will have a VIR event in Feb, as they have the past 2-3 years.

Either way, the next NASA/VIR Full course event....i'll be there.

I can't make the Ginn event thanks to a wedding, but I'll be signing up for the Chin event at VIR in Dec.

Does VIR have any TEST AND TUNE things going on during the week????

These events are soo freaking expensive. I know some buddies in Ohio who pay $30 for an entire day of test & tune at Mid-Ohio

Anybody know? We could organize a mini meet and do track runs all afternoon.

I've never heard of a Test and Tune at a road course.

They call them Friday At The Track (FATT) at Summit Point. They are on fridays and usually about $75 or so. You have to have gone through some of the HPDE schools to be eligible. They want to know that you are not a loose nut on the track since they have minimum of course workers, and the situation is not set up for people who do not know what they are doing.....

Last I knew, they had them at VIR, but you had to be a club member of VIR Club to participate. They were usually during weekdays and pretty much the same situation as Summit.

Actually the ones at Summit you mention are called "Seat Time" and usually occur on the Fridays before MARRS (WDCR-SCCA) club race weekends. You must be a club racer, instructor, or solo student to get into one. FATT's are just normal drivers schools with BSR instructors and are $150+ per day.

I've rented those tracks before and would be happy to organize a weekday if anyone's interested. Plan on $2000-$4000 per day between rental fees and insurance... split that 20 ways and do the math... it's usually not any cheaper than entering someone else's event. But it's a lot more seat time - if you've got enough tires and brakes, that is!
