It's about damn time Nissan shows some support!

Once again that is the new 2004 front end that I'm not too crazy about, but it still means more part's for the Spec!
Here's a quik list of "some" of the mods:

6 speed tranny with Nismo LSD
EFI engine management system

that is awesome. another team was going to run an '02(or '03, im not sure) Spec V in the Speed World Challenge. They ditched the car before the season so that they could prepare a 350Z for the same series. The Spec V race car was for sale, but noone bought it so they are parting it out. it is somewhere in the northwestern US. here is the link:

enjoy.

Yeah that car was sort of slapped together and didn't even complete a race. The team was poorly run and they dropped the project quikly.
This one however is a done deal and is fully supported by Nissan which includes fully built crate engine's supplied from Ed Pink, paid for by Nissan! Not to mention RTR behind the wheel, should see good things from this car.
I believe it's supposed to debut May 16-17.
Also, here's some shot's of mostly under car suspension stuff and a few interior pics that were taken at IAS:

yeah, the other team wasnt backed by nissan. they dropped that Spec V project real quick. i had seen those undercar pics before, but I didnt make the connection and realize that it was the team RTR sentra. i cant wait to see the car in action! hopefully, this will spark some more aftermarket support for our cars too, especially from nismo.
pd is driving the sentra for a new team called team-rtr. Realtime Racing will continue to campange the 2 DC5s (Pierre Kleinubing
and Zac Mazzotta) and another DC2 driven by Kevin McKee with factory acura support for the forseeable future. For the amount of time and money they have invested in getting the DC5 to where it is today, it's crazy to conside that they would abandon that program at this point.
And let us not forget about Bob Endicott in the King Motorsports DC5. With a big Mugen sponsorship, they should be competitive before too long. I saw that car at beaver, and it's nasty. The level of prepiration in SWCT is getting crazy.
As for the sentra. PD has only had the engines since december, so I would venture to guess that they have a long ways to go before that car will be competitive. The truth is that they are starting from scratch with a platform that is, unfortinately, inferior to the DC5. The do, however appear to have a very attractive rule package.
