Dood, I gotta ask... what is the point of racing in a class by yourself? At least in H2 there's some likelihood that you'll race against someone... PTB had a max of 1 car in it at 2 separate events last year?
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
I mean....they aints gots to know.
I didn't say that. |

Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
You should just come clean now about your "new shortblock" you just built....which is legal.
Yea. |
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Good thing there aren't any NASA officials on here to make sure that car gets scrutinized ;)
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!

Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Ahh, gotcha. That makes sense now. It occurred to me later that maybe there was some massive groundswell of PTB cars being built that I didn't know about...
I think you had already talked to Kevin Helms, did you ask him about it? I don't know if the H2 guys had a mailing list or anything, but I think most of the Mid-A ones at least are on the drivers-only forum below. Ask Kevin about what you need to do to get on there, since at least when I went to join before my first HC race, GK wouldn't approve my registration since I hadn't actually done a race. Apparently having a legal H4 car, passing him at a track day with it, and being registered for the event in H4 were not sufficient to qualify as a "Honda Challenge driver". !@#$%. Anyways, I'm sure Kevin would help you get whatever permissions/email etc. so you would be able to "clear" it with the other H2 guys before hand, I don't know if all of them are on NASAForums or not. http://hondachallenge.zeroforum.com/zerouser |

I need to register an Evo for TT However I will have Todd Reid driving it as we will be using this event for shakedown of the car for time attack. My question is can I easily register Todd on the Nasa site as I am not him?:) |
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Hey Terry, best way is to register yourself then email the registrar Sean Thompson (registration at nasaracing dot net) and tell him this so he can put Todd's name on the entry.

Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Just signed up for "Comp School" and "Racing" in H2. Time to study!!!!!
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
going to see if I can swing this.....
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
i want to be there :(
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Ok I'm in for the Kart enduro and the circuitcross!!! The track car is currently out of comission so this is the best I can manage.
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
There for circuitcross. C-class is mine  lol. Bringing a friend with a tC, told him good things about NASA.
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Thanks for spreading the word! The more the merrier. ;) I was just talking to someone about this, NASA-MA may have the finest - and most obvious - ladder system of any organization in the world. Of course there's the obvious HPDE1-2-3-TT-instructing-roadracing ladder, but there's also a sub-climb... autocross, kart enduros, circuitcross, hyperdrives. Definitely something for everyone! :D
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
May be there if we can find/make the time to get the car ready.
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Yes indeed. He will also be doing HPDE's this year as well. He is new to the scene and I want him to get his feet wet before doing a full track day (plus car has not been run). His car was at our shop for over a year as he worked over seas and we used it to prototype many tC parts now in production (turbo kit, fuel return system w/ swirl pot, p&p meth kit..etc.) Check out his car it is very very nice!!!
We are both gonna be in NJ 2 weeks later for a TA and he needs all the instruction he can get. Ross will be instructing him up there  |
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
I thought Redline wasn't letting newbies run for times anymore? Or can just anyone with $75 get that Redline "racing license" after all
Spend at least a dozen weekends with you and Ross helping him along and he *might* be ready to run for times... or at least that's the usual progression... no offense to your buddy, I'm speaking generally. ;) |
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
i want to run TT, but damn that $400 transponder...
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Luckily the TT check is only $20 (if you pass) or $40 (if you fail) :D

Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Hopefully my car will be ready after this weekend.
I was doing good until my radiator sprung a leak. New parts are here and need to be installed. Oh, and changing a steering coupler on a e30 is the worst thing ever. |

|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
Three "A" cars on the circuitX entry list so far... STi, Evo, and a 240Z. Expecting more.
|
Re: NASA @ VIR, Mar 26-28!
GetFast you get my email on classing my car for the circuitcross?
