Dood, I gotta ask... what is the point of racing in a class by yourself? At least in H2 there's some likelihood that you'll race against someone... PTB had a max of 1 car in it at 2 separate events last year?

Well my engine is not 100% legal for H2. What's odd is I'm only 35lbs from being 100% H3 legal. Frickn H2 piston rule.

HAHA. Yeah I know. But I'm going to come clean with the group and see what the rest of the guys say. I'm sure they will let me run with them and maybe allow me to collect points while I get around to building a new short block. I'll just have to wait and see,

Ahh, gotcha. That makes sense now. It occurred to me later that maybe there was some massive groundswell of PTB cars being built that I didn't know about...

I think you had already talked to Kevin Helms, did you ask him about it? I don't know if the H2 guys had a mailing list or anything, but I think most of the Mid-A ones at least are on the drivers-only forum below. Ask Kevin about what you need to do to get on there, since at least when I went to join before my first HC race, GK wouldn't approve my registration since I hadn't actually done a race. Apparently having a legal H4 car, passing him at a track day with it, and being registered for the event in H4 were not sufficient to qualify as a "Honda Challenge driver". !@#$%.

Anyways, I'm sure Kevin would help you get whatever permissions/email etc. so you would be able to "clear" it with the other H2 guys before hand, I don't know if all of them are on NASAForums or not.

I need to register an Evo for TT
However I will have Todd Reid driving it as we will be using this event for shakedown of the car for time attack.

My question is can I easily register Todd on the Nasa site as I am not him?:)

Hey Terry, best way is to register yourself then email the registrar Sean Thompson (registration at nasaracing dot net) and tell him this so he can put Todd's name on the entry.

Thanks for spreading the word! The more the merrier. ;) I was just talking to someone about this, NASA-MA may have the finest - and most obvious - ladder system of any organization in the world. Of course there's the obvious HPDE1-2-3-TT-instructing-roadracing ladder, but there's also a sub-climb... autocross, kart enduros, circuitcross, hyperdrives. Definitely something for everyone! :D

Yes indeed. He will also be doing HPDE's this year as well. He is new to the scene and I want him to get his feet wet before doing a full track day (plus car has not been run). His car was at our shop for over a year as he worked over seas and we used it to prototype many tC parts now in production (turbo kit, fuel return system w/ swirl pot, p&p meth kit..etc.) Check out his car it is very very nice!!!

We are both gonna be in NJ 2 weeks later for a TA and he needs all the instruction he can get. Ross will be instructing him up there :thup:

Spend at least a dozen weekends with you and Ross helping him along and he *might* be ready to run for times... or at least that's the usual progression... no offense to your buddy, I'm speaking generally. ;)

I was doing good until my radiator sprung a leak. New parts are here and need to be installed.


Oh, and changing a steering coupler on a e30 is the worst thing ever.
