NASA @ VIR - July 29th-30th
What a blast!!! Best track weekend to date!!!
RA-1s rock. They were a little hard to get used to the spongy sidewall at first, but once I figured out that, the Miata was flyin'. I can't believe I was flat footing it from 7 to 14.
My sleigh ride through the grass at 17 kinda sucked, but I guess it was better than the alternative which included T-boning a Civic.
I had the pleasure of taking a ride with Mike Sarver in his Z06 Vette with 315 710s all the way around. Talk about a wild ride. That car is a beast and Mike tames it with unbelievable control. I've got to say it was the most impressive ride along yet.

Yeah, he was a cool guy and was pitted next to us. It was fully built B18, AEM standalone, Tein coilovers, cage, the works. He was on BFG street tires though. He just finished building it and didnt want to kill himself on R's. The "full" stood for "Full Race."
I had trouble keeping up with him on the straights. I did fine on corner exits, but once he got to around 100 mph, he would pull me. Lots of fun.
My wife took a bunch of pictures this weekend. You can find them here: VIR NORTH July 29-30, 2006
