How well can some FWD cars do in AutoX?
I have seen a few fwd cars compete at competitions, but I never stuck around to really see how they did. The majority of the cars were rwd monsters or awd. The car I am thinking about using would be a 86 dodge daytona. Picking it up tommorow. I have everything for the turbo II upgrade and im going to stiffen it up and put on some better brakes. Im looking at 180 horses and plenty of torque and its not too heavy. I am buying another s13 this summer for the same use possibly, but I would like to have another car I could drive really hard and not worry about and learn some of the basics even though I am going to have to transition. I know fwd isn't prefered but with the right driver "which I am not" almost any car can be utilized. Just throw out what you think.

FWD cars do well when set up right. There are a few that finish in the top ten relatively consistently at Hampton Roads events.

RWD is the best platform, but FWD is great for autoX
AWD sucks, its generally to tight and understeers alot. You want something light, tossable with a wide usable powerband
