Actually, better tires and suspension would give you better times. But it is always nice to have more power

What I need now more than ever is more than 70hp!!!!!! Just coming off the line faster will improve my time. And seat time will make a big difference as well. One turn I just know I could have been taking quicker if I had more experience, or if it was dry out!
I figure 47 seconds in the wet, my first time out, with 70hp is pretty damn good! We'll see what happens in a couple weeks!
No rain dammit!!!!!!!

Suspension is done. I have the Eibach Sportline kit. And before I even think about investing in new tires I will run the ones on my 15's down to nothing first. Besides: I think I should see how they react in dry conditions anyway. They are Nitto NT 450's. On a dry road I stick like glue. I'm sure on concrete they'll be even better!

also, i'm not sure exactly what the Nitto's are designed for, but in general, drag tires and turning(?) tires are designed a lot differently. for autox, tires w/ good strong sidewalls are definitely a plus. furthermore, r-compound tires are definitely going to grip a lot more than street tires.
adding to that 70hp will also help to, hehe.
Yeah.
I need to upgrade the engine before I do anything else. I agree that there is still allot I can do, but I never expected to do as well as I did on Sunday. NEVER!
I really thought that I'd be over a minute on each run.
I have a front strut bar and I do want a rear lower one. Also front camber once I get the swap done. Already have rear camber. And the tires come once these are gone.
I had my tire pressure set at 30. Definitly gonna have it at either 40-45 next time.

Some reviews of my tires. A couple people even use them for auto crossing! SWEET!!!!!!
I'm looking forward to really getting hip deep into this auto crossing thing, so I welcome any advice anyone has. Here's what a friend and I have been thinking for our team name:
Team Under-funded!
What do you think?
No seriously, there are a butt ton of people at my command in Damneck that are into cars and racing. So we're thinking about getting together a command sponsered team. Plus we'll be able to get the time off from work to attend all of the races.
Thanks again in advance for any help and advice.

i would recommend not getting a camber kit. negative camber is good, i repeat, good for autoxing. also, the tire wear is a lot better as well.
tire pressure? i run 50 in the front, and 28-31 in the rear. i found 28 to work really well the other last time.
advice for now. seat time is always best. as far as stuff to buy for the car, struts, tires, and stiffen up the rear as much as you can.
