Date: Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 Time: 7AM-5PM ALL PEOPLE (DRIVER OR SPECTATOR) MUST MEET AT THE BELOW LOCATION AT 7AM TO ATTEND THE EVENT, NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS Border Station 101 Caratoke Hwy Moyock, NC 27958 Prices: Drivers - $100.00 Spectators - $10.00 a person Rules: -(for drivers)Snell/DOT helmet REQ -Car must pass standard tech -While at event, roaming the facility is strictly prohibited (this is a military training facility, they WILL shoot you) -If driving in event, if you are driving in a reckless manner, you will be removed from the course (respect others on course) Registration: First: Send your entry fee of 100.00 (or $10.00 for spectators) to (via PayPal) rocketman2w1x1@yahoo.com Then (all people attending): Email dan@usdrift.com Subject: Driftwater 7 Body: Full name, paypal email, Type of car you will be driving. (this goes for spectators and drivers) (IF YOUR NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU ARE A DRIVER OR SPECTATOR, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED THROUGH THE GATE) Finally(FOR NON US CITIZENS ONLY): You must fax 757-424-0776 or hand deliver a copy of your visa or passport. If you have been to a driftwater event your info is already on file, no need to re-fax anything. Schedule: 7AM: All drivers start meeting at NC border station, have small driver's meeting 8AM: Leave border station and head to the facility Personnel at gate checks everyone's name against the list they have of participants 8:30AM: Walk course (clockwise, same way it is run), and sweep any debris off of the track, driver's meeting 9AM-12PM:On track 12PM: Lunch break at the chow hall on the facility ($8.00 all you can eat) 1PM-4PM: On Track 4PM: Track closed 5PM: All drivers/crew must be off facility Track Specs (2 options, unknown right now which one will be used): Small track: 1.1mi. long 13 turns ranging from off camber, elevation change, S's, and a long sweeper Long track: About 2mi. long not sure on the turns on this one. i only took a few laps and really didnt count. Features: -Unlimited track time throughout day -no heats -drifting and grip drivers welcome -passing allowed via point bys -multiple cars on track (drivers must use discretion in regard to safety to themselves and other drivers on course) MORE INFO |

How's driftwater handled for insurance purposes? It's not timed, and not a racetrack... if something happened, would we be covered?

Unless you're out there at the same time as another driver, you would have to try REALLY HARD to hit something.
