drifting
Screw a 240 I am in the early stages of starting a new trend. Drifting the Mom cars. I'm looking at getting a factory boosted Volvo 740 and gutting the living p**s out of it and seeing if I can't compete with some of the stuff out there. I think it would just be interesting to go to a comp. and see someone slide by in a Volvo. Just a heads up I'm not kidding either, theres documented cases of people getting Volvos up to 400hp with very little work.
Let the flaming begin, I know its coming.

Also theres a 4g63 truck/RWD integra/etc if you still want to start your "new trend" in "different" vehicles.
IMHO, a good drift car is anything RWD that you are comfortable in. As well you can maintain / afford. I personally still want another air cooled bug. Add a lil boost. lots of suspension. over all just have fun. down fall of that idea. steering response.

So umm stupid question.. I want to do some practice drifting. just for fun. Where is a safe place? I don't want to spin my car out and hit someone or something. I don't need another ticket. Is there some kind of drift track around here to practice for beginners?
