#66 here. Hopefully I'll be able to work the first heat and drive the third.

 

They will, I just always hated wasting three runs to get some heat in the tire to go real fast on the fourth.

Hmm... not sure what I'll do them... don't want to go to all the trouble of swaping tires, for only 1 run of benefit.

 

Just swap them at home and warm them up on the way to Pungo. You'll be the first to run so the car won't sit for long before your first run.

 

You'll still be sitting around for hours waiting for the runs to begin. The tires are going to get cold, that's why the street tire times are pretty close the first couple of runs of those with R's.

Just depends on how competative you want to be, you last run if it's clean will be your fastest.

 

They run tech up until a few minutes before the driver's meeting out there. If he plays his cards right he can still have some heat in the tires before his first run.
