I seen the choice for Novice on the drop menu. I read the whole page but didn't find this info.
If I sign up for novice will I need an instructor with me? I been looking to participate in autox events just for fun. Is this more of a competition or can you just go out there drive your car and have a good time?

...although having someone more experience ride with you for a run or two is an EXCELLENT idea
1) What Jayson said. When you pick novice all it means is that you are only scored against the other novices as a separate car class.
2) Also what Jayson said. Speak up at the drivers meeting and we'll happily find an experienced autocrosser to ride with you and give you a few pointers. We may also have separate novice meetings and/or coursewalks (TBA.)
3) It is whatever you want it to be. Some people are there for the competition factor and others are there just for the fun.
And it's lots of fun
Thanks for asking,
Jon

Heat requests go in the "transponder number" section of your entry, as explained on the pre-reg page.
Or you can email those requests to autox@nasaracing.net...
