Back when I was Solo chair at ODR I knew Pungo's days were numbered. Either between development closing in, or by the delapidated conditions of the surface. I tried to get the higher ups at ODR to persue other venues. But for whatever reason, it was turned down. So I was asked by the folks at Langley to host some autocross events. I offered the dates to ODR and was told flatley, "If ODR went back to Langley, it would be the end of ODR's Solo II program". Well, that' show NASA ended up with the Langley dates. Anyway, the thing that really sucks, is all the work ODR, TSCC and Beachcombers members put into the place. By the time ti contractor is through doing whatever they plan on doing, the surface will be beyond repair. Definately beyond autocross use.

So it's ACU4 and Langley Speedway from here on out I guess.

RIP Pungo. It was fun while it lasted.

The event is BACK ON.

ODR SCCA has been granted use of Pungo for this weekends event after speaking with the management.

Walkup registrations are welcome. Gates will open at 7am for course sweeping and setup. Registration will open around 8am.

This will be the last autocross event at this site. Don't miss it.

Then click on the marker and then the driving directions tab. Enter a starting point and then you can get driving directions. The airfield is within 100 feet of Pungo Pizza.
