Default zc engine with d16a1 dizzy

Hey, i am using the integra dizzy on my zc, it was the only one around my garage that I could use at the time. But I am getting some backfiring when i rev it up, and the throttle lags a bit. It seems to me the timing is retarted, prolly something to do with the cyl. position. But let me know what you guys think, should i just order a zc dizzy? Let me know guys.
