I have been searching for headers for my 97 grand am SE 2.4 L DOHC engine. After searching for quite sometime I found that there is not a very wide variety of choices for my car. On the other hand I looked up 94-97 Z24 cavaliers headers and found many products. both have the Same 2.4L GM engine under the hood. I wanted to know if both the grand am and z24 cavalier have the same type of frame. If there is anybody that owns a z24 cavy that would let me compare my exhuast hook ups pm me.

i think the header will work for the 2.4l grand ams, but because gm likes to mess things up between us j-body's and n-body's it might not.

going by www.mantapart.com it looks like all the headers and such are the same between the two also

i would say www.rksport.com, but they start the listing from '99 and up, so i dont know if it will work for you. but still worth a shot at looking at

I knew the headers will fit on the engine.My real question is about the downpipe. Is it the same for a z24 cavy and a grand am se? if it is I will not have to fabricate anything on my exhuast for it to lineup. Thats is why I want to know if anybody would mine if I took a look at their downpipe so I could compare it with mine. Better safe then sorry
