has anyone here swapped a d16y8 intake manifold onto a d16z6? i have a bare y8 intake manifold and i put it on my z6 head and first thing i noticed/problem i ran into is the iac valve didnt fit and it looks like the fuel rail is'nt going to either. anyone know how to do this cause i know it can be done. thanx....

z6 manifold is better.

all the y8 manifold does is shift the powerband to higher RPMs...its essentially a waste of time. Stick with the z6

i swapped my a6 manifold for a y8 mani on my z6. would the z6 be any better for me than the y8?

You will have to change out your sensor's cause you will get false code's etc etc. Personally drew, I would stick with the Z6 intake manifold, The y8 intake mani is a turd on acceleration.

i'm boosting and i already have ported it out and gasket matched it to a 65mm throttle body. got a aem fuel rail and slaped it all on the head.
i just want to know the hardest things i need to do so i can get that done, the little things i'll worrry about later... i know someone has done this! who can help????

Pretty much, Just change out the sensors. The intake manifold will bolt right up since it's still in the D-series Family. Use your Z6 throttle body though so you can keep that sensor.
