is it possible for me to do this sorta mix/match swap into my 96 coupe converted to obd1?

I guess it would depend on what ZC it is. If it's the dohc one then no, if it's the sohc one then probably.

why not the dohc one? they are both d series blocks. The dohc zc just has a different head......i think.....not positive

if it is dohc then no.... my boy and i tried to put a b16 head on a zc one time and that ended up really fucked up.... but the dohc has different coolant passages then the single cam one....and different head bolt pattern,,,,

gears for the timing belt are different. You can get it on but your timing will be fucked along with everything else in about 4-5 turns.

why not put the zc pistons into the single cam and call it a day.
