Default Will This Mini-Me Work?????????

Ok so one of the homies has an 01 LX, wants to do some things with it, I suggested a mini-me as he is not as some in a financially abundant situation. so the question is, as I do happen to have a complete D16Y8 in my garage with a problematic bottem end, I was wondering if he could use the complete head from the Y8 on a D17A1??? if yes then good, but what else will he need, I also just happen to have a P28 ECU for a manual and one for an automatic.. will this come into play for him..yes I think as his car is currently non-V-tec, as long as this ECU and head are compatible with a D17A1.. ok all, feed me some wisdom..been getting rid of all my import stuff and selling everthing off and out of the game for some time now.. trying to help another homie out..let me know. thanks for the time.

I don't see why it will not work. will have to convert the ecu over to OBD1 and not sure how the coilpack ignition will come into play. You might have to run a dizzy, but have fun wiring that up. Sound like too much of a head ache for a motor prone to not lasting that long. If he wants to make a little more power, go with a wet shot nitrous kit. Much safer than a mini-me and will make much more power.
