That's a good ?...I've heard that a clutch of that nature might mess up a tranny then again not sure how reliable the source was I heard it from... Guess it's time for some reasearch or I'll keep my eye on this thread for the info for the memory banks...lol ;)

just call the company you bought the clutch from. they should be able to give you a pretty good idea....

Definately Not Recommeded.
I've been through 3 trannies on my car since I put in my 6 puck. My brother has broken 2 in his acura with one. Ricky has broken a couple cause of his.

They grab to hard and don't give enough to loose the majority of the shock on the drive train. They also are really harsh on synchros and stuff.

I will never put one in my daily driver or an AWD again. My brother refuses to put one in his integra. He runs high 11's on a street disk and is plenty happy with it.

damn 6 puck is harsh for a daily driver. i dont know what ur car is setup for.

im happy with the ACT hdss:thup:

ok everyone i;ve installed MANY 6 pucks into a lot of cars. heres the thing....if you get a 6 puck straight up you will probally mess up stuff if you suck at driving. HOWEVER....the 6 puck SPRUNG HUB cluthes enable you to feather the clutch and daily drive liek a charm and you will never have problems. thats the fact.

MKNTRAXX 05-11-2003 10:12 AM

Yeah. A sprung hub is alot more forgiving than a solid. You still may have to feather it a good bit but it won't be as harsh.

What kinda pressure plate are you running with it also?

or more specific what clutch are you looking at.

Durrett Syndrom 05-11-2003 11:43 AM

i have a clutch specilties 6 puck sprung hub clutch with the pressure plate form that came with it.

FUCK a six puck, when i had a ls in my hatch i put a 6 puck... never again, its annoying, it maybe sprung.. but when the disc hit the wheel, it still snaps into gear... you would be fine witha good street disc..but this is
MY OPINION, its all a matter of what you want... as a daily driver i would say stay disc.
