who's got hondata?
got a jdm itr motor w/ a few mods. i was contimplating the same thing as you. why spend so much for so little gains? but i see it more as something i don't have to upgrade when i do more drastic shit to my engine. for now i'll be aight w/ the 3-5 hp gains across the board. but once i do more to the engine internally i think i'll benifit more from it.
i would wait and get hondata later with the technology out there there could be a drastic improvment in 3 weeks and the price could drop. I would wait till you get more mods where hondata would should more gains rather than getting it now. my .02
i never thought about that part. your right about the technology shit. always getting cheaper. maybe i'll just go w/ the kenji ecu? i just need something w/ a rev limiter. right now my p28 doesn't have one and if i don't pay attention i go pretty high. and i'm not getting a shift light.
my friend on here toda eg6r he is using hondata s100 on his jdm itr motor, steve sakai is tuning it... www.sgt-racing.com hondata gawd
I think the Hondata can come in very handy for NA. I suggest you get a quality header, like SMSP or Hytech, intake, exhaust, and cam gears. You should see some nice gains as long as you have decent cams, CTR or better, and the tuning. I think SGT tuned a stock ITR with SMSP header and 2.5" exhaust to 191whp. I can't remember the torque. That's stock internals and only bolt-ons.
Edit: What is your setup?

just to let you know the CTR cams are exactly the same as 00/01 ITR cams. and they only have .3 higher duration on the intake cam when compared to 97/98 ITR cams, and the exhaust cam is the same.
you'll be better off getting aftermarket cams, it would be useless and waste of money on labor to swap out for CTR.
