whinning noise when clutch is pressed in

i just put a new clutch pp flywheel and throw out bearring in my 95 gsr. now everytime i push in the clutch theres a loud whinning noise. i put the car on jack stands and was able to go through all the gears smooth. when the clutch was not pressed in there was no noise. any ideas of what my problem is? also this maybe stupid question but can u use reg 80w gear oil in the tranny or do u have to use honda genuine?

only makes noise when throwout bearing is loaded? sounds like TOB problem.

and also they use 10w30 in the tranny...not 80w...thats the issue ....its too thick

i just bought the tb new and the haynes says not to use motor oil? but would the oil have anything to do with the noise?

Re: whinning noise when clutch is pressed in

im sure its not helping it at all....80w is thick as shit...

makes everything tighter than it should be...

google gsr 5 speed tranny fluid...most say genuine honda fluid but a lot also say they are using 10w30...

just out of curiosity if we did not put grease on the throw out bearring could that possibly be my problem?

Every time that I have done a clutch swap I put some grease on the TOB. Also 10W30 motor oil will be fine.

make sure ur axles are all the way in ur tranny, and 10w30 is wat i use in my tranny, there is still the possibility that u could have bought a faulty TOB too.
