Alright i have a set of 16" rota subzeros. my friends are telling me to put 195/50/16 (the si wheel size tire) on it. but the person i bought it from said 215/40/16..... only problem i use to have 17's w/ 215/40/17 and they rubbed on turns and bumps. so do you think the 16's will rub also? secondly will the 40 or 50 have a more comfortable ride?

 

If the wheel is a 16x7.5 run a 215 if its a 16x6.5 run a 195. As far as rubbing the honda fenders are pretty flimsy. When I had a rubbing problem I gently pulled on my fenders with my hands for a couple minutes. It moved it out a few mm and did not rub anywhere. You can also roll the inner lip of the fender so it doesn't rub which I did as well.

 

16x7... right in the middle... can i run a 195 on that?

 

Do you still have your fender liners? Or is it actually rubbing on your fender lip? You can always just roll your fenders.

A 215/40/16 and 1 215/40/17 will be completely different sizes. You could run a 175 if you really wanted to on a 7" rim - it would be stupid though. How about a 205/40/16?


A 205/45 is 23.3 inches tall and a 195/50 is 23.8. A 215/40 is 22.8. I'd go with a 205/45 personally, as a 205/40 is 22.2 inches tall.

 

i can get a good deal on 195/50 though =\ and i did remove the lineing, im not 100% sure what it is rubbing on... i just heard it on my 17's so im now getting 16's they are in the maill.
