whats goin on?

Default whats goin on?

Today i noticed wen im under 2k rpms my speedometer/gauge lights dim slightly and wen im above 2k there normal...its like off white (dim) to white (normal). Any ideas whats going on or is that normal and i jus now noticed it? thanks..

sounds like your alternator is having trouble making juice to feed to your electrical system.

probably is my alternator cause ever since i got it wen i have my lights off the battery light flickers. do u think it could be affecting anything performance wise?

definetly, you could be having crappy spark and such because of it.

You can always drive up to an autoparts store like Autozone and have them test it for free.

well i know its ok...cause its been doing that ever since i bought it like 4 months ago but i dont think its putting out the right voltage so i problem am losing some power. jus tryin to find a new one for cheap now..

My point is that you may find out that you don't need a new alt. It may be something that's a lot cheaper and easier to fix. Maybe a loose connection, loose belt, etc, etc, etc. You don't know until you see what it's putting out. And since you can get that tested for free....
