actually a stock p30 vtec is at 5700. so your tach is off. very common. mine is off too.i wouldnt rev your stock ls block past 7500 if i were you. get crome, get tuned. see where it makes power too and call it a day.

P30 engages at 5500.. I dont care how off your tach if off. & no matter what you want to believe LS/VTEC is not stock.. Honda never intended to be & need the use of non honda parts to work.. whether you buy an conversion kit or do your own. So yeah. kthanks

alright. since you think your soo right. i did some research and your wrong buddy

If your P30 is completely stock, VTEC is at 5800. Take it to the rev limiter to see how far your tach is off... A JDM P30 will go to 8300 while a USDM P30 will cut at 8100.
