What could cause a tachometer to start smoking?
I picked up the tach for my truck today hooked it up and it worked for like 5 seconds and then started smoking, what could cause this?? I am 100% positive I hooked it up correctly, I checked the wiring like 4 times over to be sure, plus it was working when I first put it in. Do you think its just defective?

black - ground
white - light power
red - power
green - signal
If those are correct, then it's a defective tach.
Is this for the mexican truck or the mexican car?

Steering wasn't exactly a top priority.. he's lucky it came with a cat converter and a passenger seat.
