welder for quarter panels

Default welder for quarter panels

anyone have any suggestions for buying a welder.i want something cheap and that will work.I dont want to pay for someone to put them in. its for a 89 crx si.i need some advice.should i use mig or arc,flux core or what would be best?thanks

you need a mig welder with argon...looking around 5-600 for a cheap decent one...

i own a body shop and could probably put them on for you for that price...

i have a 92 teg gsr how much would u charge to put a quarter panel on the left side. the car was wrecked when i got it

mig, flux core either or. have fun man its not as easy as you think.

dont be a tard and buy a harbour frieght or a northern welder.... they suck.

go to lowes and buy the lincoln sp 135 or pro mig 135. they have them on sale now for like 295.00 you cant beat it.

but for the record by the time you get your old quarter off and get halfway into the install youll be saying damn.... i spent 300-400 bux on a welder a bunch of money on materials. maybe i should have just had someone do it.

I have a nice Helion here with argon for 3k. thats mad cheap

Replacement panels aren't the best thing to practice on for your first project. Have a shop do what you need, so you know it will come out right. You can find some smaller projects to learn on, then do it yourself next time.

my dad can hang quarters really good. he does alot of race cars. hes an aircraft model maker/master welder and works at PAX River NAS. he lives fairly close, St. Marys co. shoot him an e-mail. mark.phippen@hotmail.com. GL

anyone know if a millermatic 130 would work for qurarter panels?what would i need to do it by myself.i want to learn so i can do it in the future.

I would personally just use 3M body panel adhesive.
