Ok i heard that you cant but i woudl like to know why you cant use a say...deltagate wastegate spring inside of a tial wastegate....my problem is that the wastegate spring in my tial is too big but i have a 5lb spring in my deltagate....why cant they just be switched??

If they're not the same physical dimensions than it won't work.

 

so if they match up like the diameter then they should work fine?? what if it doenst work then it wont hurt anything right just wont be at the set boost of the spring??

 

Length is very important also.. It won't hurt anything except your engine if you overboost.

 

ok but but im putting a shorter spring in than ther was in there before and this spring is easier t o push together then the one in there so it should boost less...thats my theory

 

I dont think it is worth the risk for a $30 spring shipped......

 

i need it by tonight....i mean i dont understand what the big deal is i just want someone to explain what could go so horribly wrong....if the new spring holds boost at 5lbs then what it hurting...and if it doenst hold boost i just take it out

 

does anyone have a tial wastegate spring near charlottesville,va they want to get rid of....5 6 or 7ln spring ill trade my 11.6

 

It's a very expensive gamble for a cheap part.
