Default Wastegate banging a hole in hood!

like title says i have a 38mm tial wastegate on a drag equal length manifold, and its sitting high that it hits the hood the whole time. there is now a big dent and alot of paint chipping and rust forming on the hood. i have a 92 civic hatch. how can i stop it from hitting the hood, before it makes a hole. thanks.

take off your hood or get an engine lowering kit.

why would you get a engine lowering kit???

Put some washers (and new bolts) on the bolts that hold the hood should raise it up at enough of an angle to clear it fine.

What kinda engine mounts do you use.. need some stiffer ones.
Or make some kind of engine torque brace

it has absolutely nothing to do w/ mounts or any of that other stuff they mentioned, you need a 90 degree elbow of your manifild. contact Myles at RevHard (www.revhard.com) and he'll hook ya up, good luck man

thanks guys. millenium is going to bend my manifold so that the wastegate will point to the side instead of straight up. that'll fix it about right. thanks again.

its no good 99blackcivicsi. the wastegate is protruding up pretty high that a few washers and a good angle wouldnt fix it. otherwise i would have done it. thanks for the thought though.
