i just recently upgraded to a 14b soon after that i replaced my broke boost controller and replaced it. well at the time i didnt have a boost gauge so i turned it up to what i though was 12 pounds.this past weekend i got a boost gauge i was suprised when it read 7 psi. so i took the boost controller turned it up all the way max boost. still 7 psi so i run open waste gate still 7psi.im guessing that my waste gate is open how can i fix it with out buying a new one?? will a t25 waste gate work i need it fixed asap im tired of having a slow car. any feed back will be great also any help would help to

if your wastegate is stuck completely open you will build boost slow as a motherfucker, and won't hold steady boost anywhere, you'll just build it real slow and it'll keep building until you shift.

 

then what would cause the boost lvel to stay at 7psi constant even running a open wastegate

 

I'm guessing you have your BC hooked up wrong. Mine does the same thing (but at 10psi) when my neat friends play a joke on me and put it in backwards.

 

my boost controller is right i have everything set up like it was b4 the turbo change. even if it was wrong with a open wastegate it would spool past 7psi i would think

 

what rpm range do you hit 7psi at?

 

im at 7 psi by 4500k rpm and it stays there

 

Maybe a boost leak?

 

the wastegate actuator is either bent or the diaphram is busted, or the wastegate flapper has been ported so much that the flapper doesnt cover the hole completely, or the flapper is stuck open. try getting another actuator first. i posted a few times on here WTB 14b/TD05H wastegate actuator and someone had one every time for about 20 bucks. shouldnt be hard to get. good luck.
