want to know????????
ya my friend gave me a d series cam gear and i wanted to know whats so good about them what do they do to ur car for performance wise its a aem cam gear i heard they dont really do nuttin for ur car or some shyt like that can somebody explain to me what it does for ur car let me kno wk thanks
They're for adusting your cam timing while you're getting dyno tuned. This isn't something you can just adjust without seeing if you've made any gains or not..
I think general real-world gain for a B16/B18 is around 2-5 HP, top end only.
For D16s the only real use is to set your cam timing back to normal if you change head gasket thickness or get your head/block shaved.

Just like Fabrik8 just said, you can gain some power or shift the power band by using them since they allow you to fine tune and optimize the cam timing but you need to be on a dyno with someone that knows what they're doing. If set incorrectly you could easily bend your valves and that wouldn't be good.
