Default vtec turbo question

Im not into honda that much but someone told me that when you turbo a vtec that you loose vtec. But when you supercharge it that you dont.

Im very sure thats not true considering that the vtec solenoid is going to run and operate normally from the ecu no matter what form of boost you are using since it wired to run from the ecu.

Is this correct?

I guess they were talking about the sound of vtec.

Which is true...

but my vtec cross over was crucially loud, esp with my dumptube and opendownpipe. It was amazing.

IMO better than any all motor vtec cross over.

Supercharger it's a cool sound, it's hard to explain.

yeah. the vtec still engages like jarrod said sometimes you just cant hear the cross over. But yeah turboing a vtec engine doesn't disengage vtec it will still work.

true, and cause boost spikes in most applications, unless your tner does a good job of smoothing the changeover.

the only way you would lose v-tec is if you had a big mechanical error. Vtec+Boost=frickin awesome

Actually. A 12.5:1 all motor setup with a GT35r is awesome. Seriously. It pulled instantly like a all-motor car then on the top side it pulled like a turbo car.

But it didn't last long.
