Vtec light mod?
I remember seeing this on here somewhere, for the past 20 minutes i've searched and came up with nothing. How do you wire it up?

Re: Vtec light mod?
Its simple.
1) Get a light 2) Send the power wire to the vtec solenoid 3) Send a ground wire to a ground point When vtec engages... light turns on. |

Re: Vtec light mod?
I made one of these that I use to troubleshoot people's motors when they have vtec problems. It's quite simple. Are you making one just to show?

Re: Vtec light mod?
That's cool. Just don't cut into the harness when using it. I made a small "Y" type connector that pigtails into the harness and solenoid. Then I just plug the 8 foot test light wire into the lead that comes off the "Y" harness...then run the wire through the hood seal and through the passenger's window. Works great!
If you continue to have problems from there you'll need to get a direct reading oil press gauge to ensure correct oil pressure. |
Re: Vtec light mod?
Ah ha. My friend thought he was slick and was going to drive my car with the speedo un-hooked so my vtec wasn't engaging. and thanks Yell88crxsi
