vtec
So you're using a B16 ECU, and you've got a working VTEC pressure switch, and you've checked that the VTEC signal from the ECU is being output under the correct conditions?
You haven't explained why you think you're having a mechanical problem instead of an electrical problem.

So you've actually seen that the ECU is trying to engage VTEC? You wouldn't change ECUs unless you did that and had seen that it wasn't working. I'm assuming you haven't done a very thorough job of actually troubleshooting, or else you wouldn't be randomly replacing things.

did you check the o-ring that is under the center cam cap to make sure it is still good? is the wiring to the vtec solenoid connected and not cut, or hacked up? do you check the screen on the inside of the actual vtec solenoid to make sure that it is not clogged?
