vafc problem

Default vafc problem

ok so i let my dad borrow my car over the weekend while i was gone, and when i came back he told me that he was pushing buttons on the VAFC trying to get it back to the regular display screen because he hit it on accident and went into the menu(he had no idea what he was doing) and now its running crappy...the check engine light comes on very often under mild to hard accelaration can someone that knows what they are doing look at it or help me...

Get it chipped and tuned, and ditch the VAFC.. You have the perfect setup for ECU tuning, and it's much less compromised than a piggyback like the VAFC. Then you'll never have to worry about stuff like this again, and your engine will run the way it's supposed to.

Don't worry man, whatever he did is an easy fix. What screen is it on right now? He may have just leaned it out at a certain RPM or something. The car still drives so he didn't change anything major. No terrible engine noise, right?

well when i got there it was on the sensor# screen, but that as after pressing god knows how many different buttons...is there any way to just reset it to stock settings or to unplug it and not use it for now, or where can i get it tuned?

no, unplugging the harness will not place it back to stock configuration. If the unit was installed properly, there are 2 sensors (wires) that should've been cut and reconnected: MAP and VTEC.... meaning if you disconnect the AFC harness, then those 2 sensors will also be disconnected. The best thing to do is go to the ETC menu and select "initiate". That should bring it back to stock setting. If u get confused, PM me.
