Default vacuum leak, look at the pics

Hey I just bought this car the other day and am trying to get it straight. I noticed this vacuum leak and saw that part of it was broken off, maybe like it had a tit coming off of it that a hose hooked up to . Could someone identify this part or post a pic of what that part should look like, i searched and searched but couldn't find anything.

Also, throwing a CEL code 21, don't know if it has anything thing to do with this piece and it being broke off to where i can't connect the wire. And i apologize in advance for the crappy pics but you'll get the picture. Thanks!

i'm going to take the solenoid off and clean it out this week, as for the black connector that i'm holding the plug next to, any ideas? i know is that whatever it is, when i put a screw in it to plug it up the motor idles down a bit. I just wanna know what part it is so can just replace it.

Its called the Purge Control Solenoid if I remember correctly. Its just part of the EGR system and runs down into the charcoal canister.

now i have another question, stupid me, i said that the car was throwing a CEL code 21, VTEC spool valve, well it's a D26Y7 (which is non-vtec if i'm not mistaken). so is there any way that i could wire some power to that green VTEC plug and reset my ecu to make the CEL go away? or if that doesn't work, will anything?

Umm you mean d16y7? Which is a obd2 non-vtec motor.

Do you have a vtec ecu controlling this non-vtec motor? If so change the ecu you have out for the correct non-vtec ecu, and that code will go away.

yea my bad i typed that fast, yes D16Y7, and yes it's running a P28. i'll try and get a hold of a dx ecu ( P06?? ) and see if that works. the car is an 94 Ex so will a dx ecu still run all the power windows and what not?
