v-tech problems

Default v-tech problems

my v-tech on my b16 is messin up. when it hits v-tech, it seems like the car just stops accelerating, but my rpm is still goin up. sometimes itll hit fine or just not do any thing. i heard it was my selanoid and i heard it was my o2 sensor. please help.

Is the power cord properly plugged in the wall?

is VTEC engaging? does it still get loud like it normally would when you hit VTEC?

You may want to remove your solenoid and check that the filter screen isn't clogged, if it is this would cause Vtec to not engage completely. any amount of even slightly dirty oil will begin to build up deposits on this screen.

Sounds like it engages initially but maybe there's not enough oil pressure to hold it. What car is it in? Could definitely be the solenoid. It's vtec btw.

its a 2000 jspec b16. ill check the solenoid.
