Default v-tec wont work

i changed my oil putting in 10w 30 instead of 5w30 like i always have. it was high milage oil. anyways as soon as i start to drive it I noticed that v-tec wasnt kicking in. could the higher weight oil cause this. thanks

Check oil level and then reset light

no CEL and oil level is fine.

Did you also add the dash into the vtec? That could be the problem.

check your ecu for any burnt spots on the board and did you wire up vtec..wht im trying to say is did you do a vtec convo, and what motor is this were talking about
