for some reason i cant link my utec to my lap top. i have the right cable and everything. when i try to use the hyper terminal i can set the (com) to the right one. for some reason i dont have the option to choose what they say to set it for. is there anything i have to adjust on my computer to make my computer able to recieve information?

you may have to manualy change your com port in your harware configuration on your lap top. Also check to make sure all your port settings are set up properly.

 

+1, had to do that on my lap top when I ran a utec.

 

i had the same problem.....but had my buddy rob there to figure it out since i am not computer savvy whatsoever, he got it working, dont know what the hell he did. go to nasioc.com. they definitely can help.
