Default usdm Itr (b18c5) in a 99 civic SI - check engine light

Code 54 keeps showing up on my check engine as soon as I start the car.

I checked and made sure that the sensor right by the oil pump was plugged in and it is so I am not sure how to remedy this.

Anyone that knows anything I don't about this problem please let me know.

UPDATE!

I cleaned the plug going to my crank angle sensor and that fixed my original problem. thanks to everyone who helped.

NOW I HAVE A NEW PROBLEM.

I am throwing a code for secondary o2 sensor. Problem- I don't have a plug on my existing engine harness for a secondary o2. Not sure where in the hell it went but maybe the previous owner cut it off or something.

Does anyone know where/how to wire in a second o2 sensor?

Are you using a itr ecu? Maybe something different between the two looking at the crank fluctuation sensor.

I have a P28 with crome but it's tuned for a b16 and runs this motor like crap.

I need a tune but I am waiting on cams from the guy I bought the motor from because they weren't in the motor like said and don't want to tune it till I get them. I just need something to limp around on till I get my cams.

BUT when I do drive around on the P28 I don't get the check engine light but that's only because obd1 doesn't look the crank angle sensor.

Does anyone have any help OTHER than use an obd1 ecu because that is obvious. I would like this thing to work the way it is supposed to first before I go tuning it on crome. Like I said I am waiting for my cams.

Only other suggestion i have is to order a basemap chip from phearable.net. I've had good success with chips from him.
